Of course, there is no connection between the two, but the books have elements that connect them.The second research topic to consider would be the type of weapons used by the characters. The book does not discuss modern weaponry, but it does contain many references to, in addition to the two mentioned above, swords, batons, alchemy, military tactics, and all sorts of technology and the things that were used to produce those things. So, the writer is actually using some of the technologies that are in use today, and they are not necessarily forbidden in the future of the story.Remember, when you are choosing research essay topics, make sure that you pay attention to the topic that the writers are using. Hinduism And Forgiveness Essay Sin begins in the realm of consciousness. When we are young we are taught by our guardians that which is right from that which is wrong. We grow up with the understanding that stealing our playmates toys or hitting our grandparents is wrong and therefore, a sin. As we mature the concept of sin begins to change; it is no longer quite so easy to define or to explain and its repercussions become much more severe than a grounding. Sin is a malicious act, intent-full, deliberate and harmful. An act is considered sinful when, though the perpetrator may gain some form of momentary satisfaction, the action inflicts harm to someone or something else. In reference to Hinduism, a sin is an immoral act; It is ungodly or unethical. The concept of ahimsa (to do or cause no harm) to a Hindu is very sacred and from childhood he is taught to respect and abide by this ideal. Therefore, any step towards dishonoring this paragon is a sin. The story of Svetaketu Aruneya offers a subtle definition of sin. The boy was so proud of himself for having learned the Vedas that his high opinions of himself stood in the way of his most important lesson and understanding; that of faith. Here, Svetaketus ego served as a maya and kept him from realizing moksha. Since it is the Hindus ultimate goal to achieve moksha, all which stands as a barrier is a sin. In a Hindus life there are different stages which he must pass through before he reaches the end of his life. Each stage is representative of different levels of learning, understanding and growth. Though sin (or rather its potential) is prevalent throughout the four stages, forgiveness becomes an extremely important factor towards reaching moksha. Forgiveness, for the Hindus, begins with self realization that one has sinned. Without this realization, forgiveness cannot begin. The moment this realization is reached the sinner begins his process of forgiveness through growing from his mistakes. Much like the Western traditional views of sin and forgiveness, a Hindu is bound to the same principles; he must consciously realize his sin and with a sincere heart, ask for forgiveness, both to the person he has sinned against and then to God. Shiva, the God of rebirth and destruction is revered by devout Hindus as a God with a very hot and unpredictable temper, but also as a very forgiving and just God. The Gods of Hinduism hold no grudges against repenting sinners and thus, good Hindus must not either. At the source of Hinduism lies transcendence. Not to forgive is a sin in itself for it furthers one from complete liberation. It is understood that in order to achieve peace within oneself, forgiveness is inevitable. Karma, often misunderstood or improperly used in the Western culture, can best be described as the proverbial to each his own. Therefore, it is not for the independent individual to judge whether forgiveness is merited or not. Forgiveness offers relief: relief from pending tensions, ill-feeling and mounting egoism. Forgiveness saves one form becoming selfish and egotistical. Physical exercise, meditation through different forms of yoga, devotion, spiritual cleansing through prayer and public chanting(Sharma, 40), all of these exercises are performed in order to achieve a heightened sense of consciousness. It is through consciousness that one may avoid that which is bad, harmful and evil, both to oneself and to others. This is the achievement of egolessness (24). The more one learns to forgive the happier and more peaceful they will feel. The obtainment of moksha, cannot be realized through the containment of negative energy which is associated with animosity, ill thoughts or malevolence. To another field, faster means of operation would dominate the definition of innovation. Despite varied means of defining innovation, there are three key terms that are never wanting in these definitions (Birnbaum 2004, p .345-370). These include the word new, movement from one state to another, and finally the translation of the idea in the organization. Innovation is about shifting from the old and ushering in something new. The success of the whole process is when the idea is translated into a good or service. Stacey (1992, p. 67-74) argue that all that an organization needs is leadership to achieve innovation (Stacey 1992, p.67-74). Theories have been developed to justify this fact. However, in this paper, I critically evaluate whether this is necessarily true. The paper goes ahead to evaluate the truth behind this theory, while at the same time going beyond its confines. Innovation in The Past Innovation can be traced from the days of state owned organizations (Arthur 1988, p.15-22; Senior & Fleming 2006, p.1-12). The state, in many countries managed the organizations, which brought about much inefficiency. The main aim for this era was to minimize the costs of production. Mass production of goo ds coupled with manipulation of demand and supply by the state owned organizations was a specialty in those days (Howells 2005, p.1-7). Their aim was not easy to achieve because of overproduction. Much as the business environment was stable, the consumer’s preference was highly ignored (Tarde 1903, p.5-7). The economists supporting this kind of an approach failed to see the gap created between the corporate and the consumer. Then change happened, and innovation was ushered into the manufacturing (Howells 2005, p.1-7. Industrialization and invention that came with it set the pace for the innovative corporate we experience today. The new means of production focused on several aspects, which were more efficient (Iordanis 2003, p.3-11; Joseph 1950, p. 17-56)). For one, the products were fewer but more specialize to fit the consumer’s preference. Secondly, the aspect of incorporating knowledge in the production would defeat the competition that constantly becoming stiff. Th irdly, the technological innovation would reduce the costs while at the same time allowing the chance for flexibility (Senior & Fleming 2006, p.1-12; Howells 2005, p.1-7). Further, there was the incorporation of services after offering the goods to the consumer. The feminism was also considered in the manufacturing. Disappointment in The Story of an Hour      Ã‚   "The Story of an Hour" is a short story in which Kate Chopin, the author, presents an often unheard of view of marriage. Published in the late eighteen hundreds, the oppressive nature of marriage in "The Story of an Hour" may well be a reflection of, though not exclusive to, that era. Mrs. Louise Mallard, Chopin's main character, experiences the exhilaration of freedom rather than the desolation of loneliness after she learns of her husband's death. Later, when Mrs. Mallard learns that her husband, Brently, still lives, she know that all hope of freedom is gone. The crushing disappointment kills Mrs. Mallard.      Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚   Though Chopin relates Mrs. Mallard's story, she does not do so in first person. Chopin reveals the story through a narrator's voice. The narrator is not simply an observer, however. The narrator knows, for example, that Mrs. Mallard, for the most part, did not love her husband (paragraph 15). It is obvious that the narrator knows more than can be physically observed. Chopin, however, never tells the reader what Mrs. Mallard is feeling. Instead, the reader must look into Mrs. Mallard's actions and words in order to understand what Mrs. Mallard feels.      Ã‚     Ã‚  Ã‚  Mrs. Mallard is held back in her marriage. The lines of her face "bespoke repression" (paragraph 8). When Mrs. Mallard learns of her husband's death, she knows that there will "be no powerful will bending her" (paragraph 14). There will be no husband who believes he has the "right to impose a private will upon a fellow creature" (paragraph 14). Mrs. Mallard acknowledges that her husband loved her.... ... life. When Brently walks in the door, though, Mrs. Mallard knows that she will have to spend the rest of her life as no more than his wife, just as she had been. She knows that she will never be free. This is too much for Mrs. Mallard to handle. Life had been grim before, with her looking forward to the years ahead "with a shudder" (paragraph 19). Now that Mrs. Mallard has tasted what life might have been like without her husband, the idea of resuming her former life is unbearably grim. Negative Aspects of Reality Shows

In recent years we have seen how the reality shows have Increasingly Invaded our screens, and there is something that captivates people to the point that change their way of life and are carried away by this â€Å"fever†. Most of the people who watch this kind of shows believe that all what they see is real so they begin to feel identify with them. The audience imitates they behaviors and most of the time it Is negative.They turn violent, Irritable and susceptible to reactions. A big percentage of people who watches this believe that their way of being is normal, but it is not like that. There are certain manners or behaviors that we are used to watch, but it doesn't mean it is normal at the point that we accept it as a way of life. What is true about this is that producers control everything and can alter or distort the actions of the actors. The actors are aware of this because when they sign their contract It Is specified over there.So, can we believe In everything we see? A key for success of these shows is the humiliation of the â€Å"actors†. Like American Idol or many others, because the jury criticizes them In a derogative way so the contestants leave the stage but being teased. The audience assimilates this as a normal process so if they don't have skills they begin to feel shame of it or scared to people who can watch them doing things. Another negative thing is that they can think that humiliation is a necessary step to succeed, thing that is not true.We hooked not allow ourselves to be influenced by these shows and that Is why there are recommendations while watching them, such as: It Is not recommended for children and young people, therefore they can understand and analyze the background and have a very strong personality. All in all we must be alert and aware to see a reality show, because this can lead to unexpected and negative changes. The best one can do is to turn this experience into something good and know how to select those programs that teach us and help us develop.
